Christian songs about healing

When you’re going through a tough time, music can be an outlet for the emotions you’re feeling. Christian songs about healing can help you process the pain and move forward with hope.

I have another blog post about christian and non-christian songs to listen to when you have a miscarriage.

In that post, I am literally sharing my own “pregnancy loss” playlist and what songs have helped me when I went through my own miscarriages..

But, this article I am sharing you mamas who need a healing, in your mind, body, or soul. Sometimes we just need to be validated and comforted.

“Healing Hands” by Tenth Avenue North

The song is about God’s healing power and the love of Jesus Christ. In fact, it was written by lead singer Mike Donehey after his wife suffered a miscarriage.

The chorus says, “You’re the only one who can heal a broken heart / You’re the only one who cares enough to save me from myself.” The song is about God’s healing power and the love of Jesus Christ.

It’s a reminder that we all need to keep our faith in God and never give up hope, no matter what life throws at us.

“I Will Rise” by Chris Tomlin

I Will Rise by Chris Tomlin is a song about finding hope and peace in the midst of suffering.

The lyrics speak to the idea that, even when you’re broken and hurting, God will lift you up and make you strong again.

When we are struggling with our health or healing from trauma, we all need hope—and this song encourages us to cling to God who can see us through anything.

“The Healing Begins” by Tenth Avenue North

Now, there are plenty of worship songs that say God can heal any wound. But few are as straightforward about it as Tenth Avenue North’s “The Healing Begins,” which makes its intent clear from the first line: “If you have a broken heart / The healing begins.”

The song goes on to make plain that the healing in question is not just physical healing but emotional and spiritual too: “When you’re feeling empty inside / The healing begins.” And even when it comes to addiction, this song promises that even if your life has been defined by sin, there’s hope for change.

“Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” by Hillsong UNITED

is a reminder that God is always with us, even in our darkest moments. It’s a perfect song to listen to if you’re looking for hope during a difficult time.

“Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)”

By: Hillsong UNITED

Lyrics:

God, You’re the God of second chances

The God of miracles and healing hands.

When I was down and out, You pulled me up.

You lifted me from the pit that I had fallen in.

And now I see Your face in everything you do for me, for me.

“It Is Well With My Soul” by Matt Redman

“It is well with my soul” is a hymn that speaks to the trust we have in God.

It asks us to believe that even when we’re going through a difficult time, God will take care of us.

The lyrics talk about how God is always there for us and that He will never leave us or forsake us.

This song reminds you that if you trust in Him, He will always be by your side, no matter what.

“Heal the Wound” by Casting Crowns

This song is about healing relationships. It’s about forgiving and being forgiven, about God’s love for us and how it can fill the places in our hearts that have been left empty by sin. It’s also a reminder that Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross so we can be healed by God’s love.

“Strong Enough to Save” by Tenth Avenue North

This song is about God being strong enough to save us. It’s a prayer for healing and restoration, and it reminds us that we are strong enough to overcome all of life’s challenges. The chorus says:

“We are strong enough to take on anything / Strong enough to conquer every fear / Strong enough to lift our eyes up high / Strong enough to stand up on our feet / We know that you’re here with us now.”

This song will serve as a reminder that you are not alone in your struggles, whether they be physical or emotional pain–and no matter how dark things may seem today, tomorrow can be brighter if we keep our faith in God.

The second verse talks about losing a loved one: “You’re never far away from me when I’m holding onto You / And though I’m hurting deep inside without You by my side / It doesn’t mean that You won’t always be there; we’ll meet again someday.”

This part of the song reminds me that although losing someone close can feel like an impossible feat (especially if it was unexpected), there is always hope for another day ahead–and then another one after that.

“What It Means to Be Loved” by Mark Schultz

The song is about the love of God, not the love of man. It’s about the love that God has for us and how that affects us in our everyday lives—the good and the bad.

It’s a song about knowing that no matter what happens to you or how you feel right now, there is still hope and there is still peace because of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

“Still Rolling Stones” by Lauren Daigle

“Still Rolling Stones” by Lauren Daigle is a song about how Jesus is our rock, our refuge and how he will never leave us. It’s a great reminder that God is always with us in the storm and that He won’t let go.

The chorus goes: “You’re my fortress on this earth, my shelter from the storm/ And when my world falls apart/ You’ll be there to carry me home.”

These are some amazing songs to listen to when you’re in need of healing.

I highly recommend listening to these if you’re feeling down or having a hard time. The next time you’re feeling lost, these songs will remind you that God is always there with open arms, ready to catch you when you fall.
